About This Day in History/Horoscope Shop

The people of Gibraltor love being British, and they show it every September 10. Their National Day marks the 1967 referendum when the people of Gibraltar voted to reject Spanish annexation and continue under England’s rule. The day is a public holiday, during which most Gibraltarians dress in the national colors of red and white and, among other events, attend a rally. The rally culminates with the release of 30,000 red and white balloon representing the people of Gibraltar.
